Why visit Myanmar?

An incredible tourist destination, Myanmar, you must see this place on Earth! Here are several attractions in Myanmar. Ngapali combines two worlds in this Southeast Asian country. It is Myanmar’s premier resort town, with white sand beaches lining the blue waters of the Bay of Bengal and luxury hotels. It is a great spot to chill out and just relax. Contrast this with its fishing village atmosphere with local restaurants serving the day’s catch and ox-carts doubling as taxis. Locals believe the town is named after Napoli (Naples) in Italy. Most people visit Ngapali November to March; the rest of the year it is a sleepy little beach town. Continue reading

The Bodhanath Stupa, just outside of Kathmandu, is one of the largest stupas of its kind in the world, and dates to sometime around the 6th century, possibly even earlier. Like Bhaktapur, it lies on the old trade route to Tibet and is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. The stupa sustained minor damage during the 2015 earthquake but is otherwise in good condition. The stupa itself is a symbol of enlightenment but at Boudhanath the symbolism is particularly clear. Each different shape represents one of the five elements, earth, water, fire, air, and sphere, which are also the attributes of the five Buddhas. Brought together in the form of the stupa, their unity reflects in abstract fashion the structure of the universe itself. Continue reading

Admiring London once should be on the check list of any traveler’s. Another location with a long association with British royalty, Westminster Abbey stands on a site that’s been associated with Christianity since the early 7th century. Officially known as the Collegiate Church of St. Peter in Westminster, Westminster Abbey was founded by Edward the Confessor in 1065 as his place of interment. From his burial in 1066 until that of George II almost 700 years later, most sovereigns were not only crowned here but they were buried here, too. More recently, it’s become famous as the preferred location for Royal Weddings. Continue reading

Why visit London? and where to stay!

Standard

Visiting London at least once should be on the goal list of any person who likes to see the world. The city of London is huge! With millions of people and tons of foxes (which I’m sure outnumber us Londoners), the city and metropolitan area is ginormous, to say the least! If you’ve only got a few short days in the city, try to stay in the area you want to explore (or at least close by). This will save you a whole lotta time travelling across the city every day. especially as travelling in London can add up to several hours per day in transport time. Continue reading

Vacations in Vancouver, Canada

Standard

Top Vancouver locations : For many Vancouver visitors, Canada Place is where a trip begins. The unusual roof creates the impression of a huge sailing vessel. The architecturally remarkable structure is part cruise ship terminal, part convention center and hotel, and part hub for sightseeing bus tours. At the end of the pier, there are panoramic views and the Flyover Canada attraction – a fun flight simulator and Canadian geography lesson. Also nearby, Waterfront Station is a major transit hub with ferries departing for the public market at Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. Continue reading

World attractions and top destinations

My best picks for travel locations that i believe are a must see. Northern Europe and especially Norway is an amazing travel destination. Gothenburg, Sweden – Sweden’s second city, Gothenburg may be at heart an industrial port city, but its wide avenues, leafy parks, world-class museums and lively student population make it an atmospheric place to spend a weekend. Hop on one of the fun and efficient trams that criss-cross the city to visit its many parks, galleries and attractive regenerated neighbourhoods, or leap on a ferry and venture further afield to explore the islands of the southern archipelago. Seeing London at least once should be on the goal list of any person who likes to see the world. Finding budget hotels in the UK is not hard if you know where to look. Your best bet is to do some research ahead of time. Depending on where you’re going, book your hotel at least two days in advance. To save a buck, sacrifice proximity to city centers for a more modest hotel nearer the outskirts of town. City transit tends to be affordable in most cities, so you’re better off taking the subway, or local train, in than you are spending extra money on being two blocks closer to the main attraction. Paris and London locations for photographers

Standard

London and Paris are a dream twin destination for photographers. Here are some locations to visit : As Paris shots go, cafe Au Vieux Paris d’Arcole has got it all: pretty painted purple chairs and eau-de-nil facade, half-covered with rambling bougainvillea. It’s tucked away behind Notre-Dame Cathedral and somehow remains a relative secret, making it a fabulous spot for coffee – and for photographs. Summer is the prettiest time of all. Where to get the shot: From on the Pont des Arts at sunrise. The light is incredible. Once you’ve got your photo, ‘chase the light’ along the banks of the Seine towards Notre-Dame. Continue reading
